I n the quest to sustainably equip youth entrepreneurs and changemakers in Ghana and West Africa, who identify problems in their communities and turn them into projects and/or social actions, 1BA has started an academy – the 1BA Academy, a network of youth entrepreneurs.
The formation of the academy fulfills one of the commitment of the Start & Sustain 2018 workshop, where particiapants and facilitators unanimously agreed to the need to assembly youth entrepreneurs and to provide for them regular tailored skills necessary for thriving.
Each year, a cohort of academy members shall be taken through intensive training in areas of their work such as finance and bookkeeping, branding and communication, team management, legal issues, and the leveraging of digital tools for business/project growth, etc. In 2019 two training events were organized for 30 entrepreneurs; a LinkedIn Masterclass and a Google Suits workshop.
