It is our overriding interest to work with our partners to achieve business objectives in a way that provides value for money and impacts stakeholders. This includes the development of financial systems and processes that minimize risks and maximizes results for our partners.

Our role as the finance administrators does not only focus on fundraising activities but also involves undertaking the necessary business intelligence and advising our partners on how to undertake projects that offer the best value.
The finance directorate is made up of a dedicated team with the requisite expertise and experience, led by Lawrence Ansah-Addo. Lawrence possesses a BSc Administration degree in Accounting and a Master of Philosophical degree in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School. He also holds a certificate in project management (PRINCE2) and employs his expertise in controlling risks and costs associated with projects undertaken. He has very strong experiences into financial and accounting research and consulting. His consulting background has mostly been in working with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations in designing and implementing systems and controls. Business analytics and intelligence is a very important aspect of Lawrence’s experience and employs them in his work at 1BA. He has gathered vast experiences from working with both local and international organizations. Currently, Lawrence is an individual contractor with one of the UN agencies. As the finance administrator, Lawrence contributes to the sound financial management of the 1BA team and systems compliance of business processes.
